Although I voted for Cronkite Edward R Murrow was on my mind and after weighing the options I voted. Nobody comes close to either of the 2 men when it comes to reporting but I think that Mr. Cronkite was born into the right time when more than just WWII was going on, and while I'm not trying to slight Mr. Murrows commentaries about his era Walters were at least as good. People also like emotion and of all the videos I've seen of Murrow he acted in an extremely professional manner whereas Cronkite showed true heartfelt emotion on several occasions (ie. 2 Kennedy assassinations, M.L.K. murder, Apollo 13, John Glenn space shot) and it was this that brought him close to our hearts.
